The Town of Stilesville is accepting applications on a continuous basis
for the position of Reserve Police Officer. Reserve Police Officers are dedicated individuals who volunteer their time
to serve the community.
THE POSITION:
Upon completion of training, a Reserve Police Officer may perform the same basic
duties as a Paid officer. The Reserve Police Officer may patrol a designated area, enforce traffic laws, answer
calls for service, transport prisoners, appear in a court of law when required and provide traffic and crowd control at special
events and other community events.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD:
Reserve Police Officers will complete a structured field training program. During
the field training program, the reserve officer is required to work a minimum of 24 hours per month, up to six
months. Upon successful completion of field training, the reserve deputy is required to work a minimum of 16 hours
a month. Upon satisfactory completion of probation, the reserve probationary deputy may be appointed as a
Approved, Reserve Police Officer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

21 years of age

U.S. Citizen

High School or GED Diploma
-
No Felony Convictions
-
No Crimes of Violence
-
Person of good moral character
-
Successful completion of a background investigation, polygraph testing and medical
and psychological examinations.
